Serving in Worship
 
Acolytes – are those who light the Altar candles before each service and extinguish them after the service is concluded. They also help with the Communion cups.
 
Greeters – are in the entry before worship, welcoming and offering gracious hospitality to all.
 
Lay Assistants – help in the distribution of Holy Communion.
 
Readers – help by reading the lessons of the week.
 
Ushers – distribute bulletins, assist with seating, give guidance to the altar for Holy Communion, count the attendance, and collect the offerings.  They are important in extending our gracious hospitality.

Music and Arts
 
Adult Choir – rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 pm in the Music Room.
 
Cherub Choir – is for 4-year-olds through 3rd grade.  They rehearse Wednesdays from 5-5:45 pm in the Music Room.
 
Junior Choir – is open to 4th graders through high school youth.  They rehearse Wednesdays from 6-7 pm in the Music Room.

Celebration Band – plays and sings at the 10:45 am worship service.  They practice on Saturdays at 9 am in the Sanctuary.

Instrumentalists – such as guitar, trumpet, flute, violin, etc. are needed for a variety of worship occasions.

Sound and Video Media – volunteers operate and monitor various technologies used in our worship services. Help is needed at all services to adjust volume settings on the soundboard and run the video presentations for the screens.

Flowers – In honor of birthdays, anniversaries, or in celebration of God’s blessings or individuals.  Single roses or bouquets for the weekend services may be ordered through the Church Office.  We encourage people to pick up the flowers after the 10:45 am worship service so everyone may enjoy them.  Single roses are $2 and bouquets are $20 each.

Property
 
Lawn Care – Help us keep the church grounds looking nice during the summer months.  Mowing is usually necessary once a week. You will work together with others or can set your own schedule.  All equipment and materials are provided by the church.
 
Cleaning – Our Saviors is is maintained solely by volunteers. Your help is needed! Could you spare time to vacuum, dust, clean the kitchen, clean a bathroom or two? We could use any time you have to offer. Contact: Church Office 708.599.4780
 
Maintenance Repairs – When many people offer to contribute from their job experiences or hobby skills, many of these repair tasks can be taken care of easily and inexpensively.  Common maintenance issues or projects include replacing equipment, and carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or simply some determined repair.
