Christian Education:

New opportunities to learn about who God is, how God has acted in history, and how we respond with our love for God and love for others, are held between our worship services at 9:15 a.m.  There are classes for all ages – 3 years old and up.

Please make it a priority to learn. Continuing to learn directly correlates to our ability to carry out our God-given mission of being the Church.

Bible Studies –

Reading the Word of God is vital for the development of an understanding and practice of the Christian faith.  Daily Bible reading grounds us in God’s will for our life.  With others, certain topics and questions can be explored in more breadth and depth.  Weekly Bible Study is offered some Sundays from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m..  Other classes on biblical topics are offered at different times throughout the year.

Children’s Christian Education –

Children need good nutrition for physical growth when they are young.  In fact, each person depends on the nourishment of faith to grow spiritually.  Faith is shared primarily through word and deed at home as parents model the life of discipleship. Our Sunday morning time of Christian Education for children ages 3 to grade 5 provides exciting and relevant learning through the Word of God, age appropriate learning experiences and meaningful faith practices.  Classes last an hour, 9:15-9:45am between September and May each year.  Children learn about God’s Word through a variety of experiences as they explore Bible stories in a different workshop each week of the month.

Vacation Bible School –

A learning opportunity for children provides a unique setting for encountering God in Bible stories, meeting others through activities, and actively living out the Christian faith through worship and service.  A new theme is offered each year for an exciting experience during the summer.

Confirmation Education –

Confirmation is a two-year education ministry for the faith formation of young people in grades 8 and 9 to nurture, deepen and expand their faith and involve them in service as disciples of Jesus.  In addition to regular worship, various experiences in Confirmation meetings, Bible study, small group discussions, service events and fellowship gatherings, are directed toward this goal on Sundays at 9:15-9:45a.m. and Monday evenings.  The goal is for them to publicly Affirm their Baptism / Confirm their Faith by acknowledging that the faith started in them in their Baptism is alive and growing and that they are ready to assume the adult responsibilities of ministry within the Church.
